As their Australian projects continue to evolve, a position has arisen for an experienced Contracts Specialist to join the team, based in the Brisbane office. You will work closely with various stakeholders in achieving contract and procurement deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Writing contracts, reviews, negotiations, and/or administration in support of business unit or corporate clients' procurement activities.
- Contract administration, tracking, and monitoring contract changes, deliverables in accordance with the supply chain standard and local business unit procurement requirements.
- Assisting in major RFP/RFI activities which include but are not limited to developing lists of qualified bidders, reviewing, and analyzing proposals, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers, and making recommendations of award.
- Assist and leading with developing agreements using approved templates.
- Act as key liaison between company client, supplier, and corporate staff groups.
- Preparation and compilation for commercial reports on the status of contracts including cost commitments, progress payments, and variations.
- Degree in relevant field such as Quantity Surveying, Business, Commerce, Finance or Law.
- Demonstrated experience in contracts administration in medium to large value projects within the Oil & Gail industry.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of contracts law, business ethics and the contractual/commercial principles adopted within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with high level stakeholders and clearly communicate project value drivers, status, and risks.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
