Airswift is looking for a Digital Systems Studies Specialist to work with one of our clients in Pau, France.

Job Summary:
The position is to assist the teams of the design office and the project managers. This person will support the teams with the instrumentations systems, providing data and insights from the systems whilst managing data and contracts, helping improve overall performance.


Requirements:
  • Referent in control and safety systems, onshore and/or offshore O&G experience or Industry,
  • Knowledge and mastery of the engineering process, content and purpose of deliverables,
  • Mastery of the contractual technical scope,
  • Management of a team of engineers and technicians (2 to 3 people),
  • Management of the hours that are allocated and reporting to the Project Manager on progress,
  • Ability to understand and arbitrate the technical issues of the project,
  • Management of interfaces with other disciplines (Processes, Electricity, Civil Engineering, HVAC, etc.),
  • General knowledge of major international industry standards (IEC, IECEx, ATEX, ISO, ISA, ANSI, DIN, ASME,...),
  • Software Knowledge: OFFICE 365 (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams) MS SharePoint,
  • Knowledge or proficiency in the following software is a plus: E3D, AutoCAD. Microstation, Smart Plan Instrumentation (SPI), Instru Calc.
Responsibilities:
Management:
  • Management of hours allocated to system activities as part of the project,
  • Ensure compliance with the document issuance schedule,
  • Management of a team of experienced designers,
  • Coordination of activities with the instrumentation specialist,
  • Reporting to the instrumentation project manager,
  • Interfaces - coordination inter-disciplines,
  • Participation in meetings internally or with the Client.

Coordination:
  • Participation in P&ID reviews, selection of technologies and system architectures,
  • Participation in plans of arrangement,
  • Participation in safety reviews (HAZOP) and safety documents (flowchart or C&E Matrix),
  • Participation in power assessments.

Writing the documentation:
  • Specifications for digital systems (driving and safety) and telecom systems,
  • Design of digital system architectures (Driving and Safety) and telecom systems,
  • Hardware specification for digital systems and telecom systems,
  • Functional Analyses,
  • Requisitions and data sheets for inspection.

Calculations
  • Sizing of systems and their footprint.

Lists
  • I/Os Lists,
  • List of scales, thresholds, alarms and instructions.

Schematics / Plans
  • Interconnection diagrams and diagrams,
  • Loop diagrams (made jointly with the instrumentation specialist),
  • Site plans in the technical rooms and in the control room,
  • Pathway plans,
  • Plans of bulkhead passages (Main Cable Transits),

Seller Tracking
  • Analysis of offers and writing of a comparison,
  • Management and follow-up of seller documentation.
  • Participation in inspections, verification of certifications, tests (or FATs) (carried out jointly with the inspection department).
