Our client is seeking a Document Control Clerk to work within their facilities located in New Braunfels, TX for a 12-month contract.

Summary:

Compiles and maintains control records and related files to release blueprints, drawings, and project documents to manufacturing and other operating departments by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Examines documents such as blueprints, drawings, change orders, and specifications to verify completeness and accuracy of data.
  • Confers with document originators or liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies and compiles required changes to documents.
  • Posts changes to computerized or manual control records, releases documents, and notifies affected departments.
  • Maintains related files.
  • Prepares requests for reproduction of documents.
  • Operates reproduction equipment.
  • Prepares reports and memorandums.

Requirement:
 
  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  •  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • knowledge of Microsoft Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
