Airswift is looking for an E&I Technician to work with a major company on a 6-month contract in Ingleside, TX

  • Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Mechanical Completions Lead who in turn reports to the WWRP Topsides Execution Manager
  • Reporting to the MC Lead, this position is responsible for verification and sign-off of “A” check sheets for the Electrical discipline in accordance with the Mechanical Completions Philosophy of the Project and participate in MC walkdowns.
Responsibilities:
  • Participate in walk-downs of Electrical systems and subsystems to verify installation in accordance with drawings/specifications, raising punches when work is identified as non-compliant
  • Sign-off of “A” check-sheets for the Electrical systems and subsystems
Competencies:
  • Ability to build relationships and interact effectively with a variety of people/disciplines both internal and external to Cenovus.
  • Able to work collaboratively within a team environment, as well as maintain effectiveness in varying environments and with different tasks, responsibilities and people.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point, and MS Project.
  • Working knowledge of Smart Completions software from Hexagon is preferable.
  • Able to read and understand P&IDs, PFDs, SLDs, wiring diagrams and technical specifications
  • Able to understand and use CMS databases, preferably Hexagon
  • Experience in working with construction contractors at their facility during the building and commissioning of the facilities.
  • Experienced in reviewing MC check-sheets and Walk down Packages, understands system priorities and schedules
  • Experienced in verification and close out of the punch list items and site queries to facilitate system MCs
  • Familiarity with offshore health, safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Degree or diploma/certificate or journeyman in either electrical, instrumentation or telecommunications field
  • Exposure to Construction, Completions and/or Commissioning
  • Must be legally entitled to work in USA
