Key Responsibilities
• Electrical System Design: Design and develop the electrical systems including power
distribution, control systems, auxiliary systems and implement DC power systems.
• Schematic and Wiring Diagrams: Create detailed electrical schematics and wiring
diagrams using MicroStation and AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design
standards.
• Design and develop DC power systems for specific applications. This includes creating
electrical schematics, layouts, and selecting components such as batteries, inverters, and
charge controllers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DC power systems into larger
electrical projects, coordinating with other engineers to ensure seamless operation.
• Provide drafting support for creating prototypes of power electronic systems, as needed.
• Integration: Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to integrate
electrical systems seamlessly into the overall design.
• Cost Management: Assist in cost estimation for electrical components and systems,
optimizing designs for cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality.
• Testing and Troubleshooting: Participate in the testing and troubleshooting of electrical
systems, identifying and resolving issues during prototype and production phases.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of electrical designs, changes,
and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
• CAD Proficiency: Utilise MicroStation and AutoCAD software proficiently for drafting,
modeling, and creating 2D and 3D drawings.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including
mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure project
success.
Qualifications And Experience
• Proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD for electrical design.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
• Sound knowledge of electrical schematic drawings, Cable Lists, Block Diagrams, Terminal
Drawings, Reports & BOMs
• Experience with DC power component selection, including batteries, inverters, charge
controllers, and power distribution systems.
• Familiarity with different types of inverters and controllers and their compatibility with DC
power systems.
• Proven experience in designing power electronic circuits and systems, including power
converters, inverters, rectifiers, and DC-DC converters.
• Understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations for power electronics
design, and efficiency standards.
