Our major upstream client is seeking for an Electrician to work within their facilities located in Mansfield, LA on a 6-months (subject to extension) contract.

Job Description
This position requires skills to inspect, install, repair, adjust, construct, modify, calibrate, program and wire all electrical and electronic apparatus, devices, and circuits of any voltages in the plant or assigned area
Also requires the ability to assist in the design and service of all types electrical, electronic, pneumatic, electro-mechanical, radio controlled equipment and any type of integrating, indicating or graphic electrical, electronic or mechanical instruments and control equipment.
Help ensure that all equipment performs at par with safety and OEM specifications.Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
This position must be able to work a rotating shift schedule which may require overtime.
Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Requirements
An electrical certification or technical degree with at least 5 years experience in Industrial electrical maintenance & repair preferred.
Ability to read documents (in English) such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure/equipment manuals as well as electrical/Mechanical schematic drawings.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence (in English). Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers (in English). Spanish as a second language would be beneficial but not required.
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
Knowledge of general manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Development software; Design software; Internet software; Order processing systems and Project Management software.
Individual must have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, Level I and II communication systems. He/she must understand ladder logic and possess advanced troubleshooting skills with equipment software language.
Previous experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens equipment is preferred but not required.
Employee must be able to work with a flexible or rotating schedule which may require over-time when needed.
Read, write and speak English in a clear and effective manner.

Responsibilities
Maintain a good working relationship with Operating personnel in order to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
Responsible for the electrical maintenance of machinery and equipment within the facility.
Analytically troubleshoot and resolve electrical malfunctions back to OEM Specifications.
Routinely check the performance of electrical equipment.
The employee is responsible for maintaining maintenance records, inspection reports, and processing Work Orders.
Ensure a clean and safe work area. Must follow all PPE policies and safety rules.
Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).Attend and participate in Line-Out meetings to communicate daily activities between incoming and outgoing Maintenance shift crews.
Make necessary equipment repairs during the shift to maintain equipment availability for production.
Complete Maintenance shift reports and corresponding paper work.
Participate in production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers as it pertains to equipment reliability and availability.
Perform required Daily; Weekly, Quarterly and Annual check sheets as established by the Maintenance Department and O.E.M. suppliers.
Prepares reports, forms, records and related paperwork for assigned area.

Education Requirements:
Minimum - HS Diploma or GED Preferred - College Degree

Completion of IADC Rigpass, SafeLand, or equivalent orientation is required for this role.

1.5-10 years’ Oil & Gas electrical experience
2. Extensive knowledge of Primary and Secondary Electrical Distribution Systems
3. Experience with VFDs, starter panels, electrical motors, & Salt Water Disposal Systems.
