Electricity & Instrumentation Engineer – Brussels, Belgium



Key responsibilities and main tasks:

• You will develop concepts for electricity and instrumentation (incl. control and process control) for gas transport installations based on the project data and the applicable technical standards and codes;
• You will participate in the identification and qualification of suitable materials and suppliers in consultation with your colleagues piping, process and mechanics;
• You draw up engineering documents such as specifications, datasheets, specifications, etc....for control valves, flow meters, instrumentation, electrical equipment, etc.;
• You provide technical advice during the purchase process and project realization;
• You analyse and implement new legislation, standards and codes, you follow technological evolutions and ensure knowledge transfer;
• You participate in working groups and thus contribute to the further standardization and improvement of concepts and materials and to the processing of technical feedback from the operator;
• You will occasionally participate in process safety studies;
• You analyze and assess E&I documents from third parties in the context of any outsourced projects.

The experience shall include:

• You have a Master's degree in Engineering or Industrial Sciences;
• You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience, ideally of which experience in process instrumentation;
• You have a thorough knowledge of control and safety valves and know the relevant E&I standards, the AREI and the ATEX regulations;
• Knowledge of PLCs and DCS systems is a plus;
• You have very good communication skills;
• You are result-oriented, driven, team-oriented and have an open mind;
• You have a good command of Dutch and French and have a good knowledge of English;
• You work fluently with the MS Office package.
