Airswift is seeking a Pre-Commissioning Engineer to work on a permanent contract with a major Oil & Gas Company in Rio de Janeiro.
The role of this engineer is to be responsible for the flushing, filling, cleaning, calibration, internal inspection, leak and hydrostatic testing, dewatering, drying, conditioning, purging and vacuuming of rigid and flexible pipelines, rigid jumpers and all the necessary tests to ensure the proper transportation, installation and pull-in of umbilicals, EFLs & SFLs. The engineering activity covers onshore work (in the office, manufacturing sites and logistics sites) with subsequent offshore support during the execution of operations on board vessels and outsourced companies. This position should ensure a good interface with the Client, suppliers, on-board team, design, manufacturing, planning, logistics and SCM simes.
The suitable candidate will be responsible for delivering solutions in projects and tenders with a specific focus on safety and cost and will also be responsible for providing solutions in different equipment installation scenarios.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute the unsupervised activities defined within the project or process with quality, safety and contribute to meeting the deadlines established in the schedule. Managing a team of engineers to deliver a specific scope;
Preparing products (such as technical specifications, lifting plans, methodologies, task plans, equipment lists, etc.) and participating in the specification of services, which may include: technical support, design calculations, specifications, operating procedures, analyses, progress reports, tender evaluations, study reports, as well as participating in meetings (periodic or otherwise) and responding to requests from third parties, within their technical knowledge limitations;
Drawing up technical project documentation and signing it as author/reviewer. Reviewing and approving documentation from other engineers and suppliers. Producing the MDR/SDR on the project. Ensuring that the dates for issuing and reviewing documents are met;
Acting and taking responsibility for field activities (onshore or offshore), whenever required, such as mobilizing and demobilizing equipment, ships, testing equipment at supplier bases, construction sites, etc. Supervising more junior professionals;
Liaising with clients, understanding their needs, identifying and resolving more complex project problems and approving solutions;
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in engineering (naval, mechanical, civil, military, production, etc.) Relevant experience in the offshore industry;
Advanced English
Experience in pre-commissioning scopes in pipelines and umbilicals;
Experience of working onshore and offshore as part of a project team;
Additional knowledge is desirable (not mandatory) in the following subjects:
Subsea valves and connection systems;
Subsea production and control systems;
Flow assurance;
Installation on SURF projects;
Planning.
