Airswift are a Global recruitment & payrolling company, who are partnered with a European leader in building product manufacturing. We are supporting them with some senior positions in their business, and we are currently looking for an engineering plant planning manager. This is an exciting position where you will manage and plan the process of a brand-new plant from start to finish, this will include identifying the location within Europe, obtaining planning permission and management of the design and construction of the plant.

This role will be remote but travel to be expected European wide to identify possible sites. The role is long term as you would be seeing the project through from conception to completion. Start date it aimed at January 2024 and they are looking to start the interview process ASAP.

Key accountabilities
  • Create, design and plan projects for executing plant technologies needed for the future
  • Consider the market needs, sustainability requirements raw material supply, inbound and outbound logistics and manpower plans for creation of plans
  • Collaborate with various functions not limited to Health safety & environment, network optimization, operations and product management.
  • Scout, specify, test and roll out more capable equipment
  • Utilise opportunities to investigate suppliers for greater capabilities of equipment Drive study and project execution - with leadership and state of the art project management
  • Define, train, roll out and supervise best practice maintenance
  • Build the most capable equipment in plants
  • Deliver projects and plans in timely manner, high quality work and within budget
  • Develop & define a  standard plant lay-out based on the  changing environment “Fit for Future “
  • Propose an ideal plan for what would a  manufacturing plant of the future look like
  • Compare existing manufacturing process with possible alternatives
  • Lay-out of future factory inclusive yard logistic and infrastructure
  • Develop & define standard schedule for maintenance procedures within the concrete process 
  • Have a good understanding of TPM methodology

Qualifications & Experiences Required
  • Deep understanding of various manufacturing processes and natural raw materials
  • Knowledge of production technology trends and implications
  • Plant /factory building and design expertise
  • Continuous production processes experience
  • An engineering degree or related discipline > 15 years engineering experience
  • 5-10 years’ minimum experience in engineering leadership role in the a high volume or industrial industry
  • Multi site proven track record on plant built - green field and brown field factories
  • Track record of technology innovation - probably real break through innovations
