Our major Oil & Gas client is seeking an Environmental & Regulatory Data Technician to work in Sabine Pass, TX on a long-term assignment.

JOB SUMMARY:

Work as part of the Environmental & Regulatory (E&R) Team in support of E&R staff.  E&R Data Technician works under direction of E&R Supervisor and plays a key support role in developing and maintaining Site Environmental and Regulatory related information.
The primary function is to collect and manage data for development of reports and presentations which may include: data collection and analysis, developing presentation materials, maintaining databases/event registers, performance indicator tracking, supporting E&R team during agency inspections, internal and compliance report development and submittal assistance, and assist in development and tracking of the company’s Management System KPIs and V&Ms.

MAIN FUNCTIONS
  • Data entry for all E&R information into appropriate registers
  • Manage the collection and analysis of Environmental and Regulatory data
  • Assist in data review and analysis for compliance and regulatory reporting
  • Assist team with ensuring environmental emission events are investigated and closed out in accordance with regulatory timelines
  • Power user of registers
      • Knowledgeable on data entry for each module
      • Structured and consistent data entry
      • Understand reporting requirements and deadlines
      • Validate data entry
  • Data entry for incident reports
  • Development of various E&R reports and presentations
  • Support Environmental & Regulatory function’s use of compliance related data
  • Develop tools to assist with data collection
  • Analyze data for trends and focus areas

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Proficiency in the use of computers, skills include:
  • Microsoft Office - Excel (Advanced), Power Point, Word and Access
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and short deadlines
  • Strong time management practices
  • Possess excellent administrative and organizational competencies
  • Data analytics experience
  • Proficiency with data visualization/database management
