Our major Oil & Gas client is seeking an Electrical Project Led to work in Kermit, TX on an initial 6-month contract.

Main Functions:
  • Overseeing Equipment and controls for capital project installations as well as maintenance projects.
  • They will also serve as the point of contact for engineering, contractors, fabricators, and vendors for instrumentation and controls.
  • Supervise contract employees.
  • Trouble shoot and repair electrical equipment. Must be a Safety Leader and drive the company's core values
  • Supports the local safety program and leads or participates in After Action Reviews and Learning Teams
  • Involved in maintaining and applying the company's specifications and design criteria.
  • Involved in applying industry recognized standards.
  • Ensures consistency of design with L48 I&E Project Quality Standards
  • Participates in P&ID and other instrument and control drawing reviews.
  • Assists in factory acceptance testing and field inspections.
  • Coordinate instrumentation and controls installation
  • Ensures projects are built per the engineering work pack.
  • Helps prepare and implement quality assurance/quality control programs and plans.
  • Responsible for Function Check Out, Commissioning and PSSRs prior to startup of new facilities.
  • Supports the Projects Capital Program / Cost Controls by tracking and reporting daily costs.
  • Participates on start-up team.
  • Participates in process hazard analysis and safeguard evaluations.
  • Participates in the project risk management process.
  • Participates in the Best Card/ Focus Audit programs.

  • Current/Valid driver's license
  • 5+ years of electrical experience with instrumentation and controls within the oil and gas industry
  • Intermediate level of technical knowledge and training to maintain instrument and electrical equipment.
  • Willing and able to perform/align with the following (with or without reasonable accommodation): - Climb various ladders and stairs ranging in heights up to 50 feet to perform maintenance on equipment - Raise and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds - Walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material daily on even and uneven terrain - Work outside in harsh weather conditions - Wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to travel 10% of the time on a yearly basis.
  • Preferred: Associate degree or trade certificate or higher in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Technology, or foreign equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience in Oil and Gas or electrical industry background
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical Controls
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Good written, oral, and computer skills
  • Orientated toward continuous process improvement
