GSO - General Service Operator

We are looking for General Service Operator contractor to cover 2 x 2-week swings at Stag on 26/03 – 09/04 and 23/04 – 07/05.
Involves providing general support to offshore operations, which can include tasks such as equipment handling, maintenance support, logistical assistance, and ensuring the smooth running of operations as directed by supervisors or management.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of cranes on offshore installations or vessels to lift and move heavy loads.
- Follow established safety procedures and regulations during crane operations to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections of the crane and lifting equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition.
- Communicate effectively with rigging and signal personnel to coordinate lifts safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspection of cranes and associated equipment to ensure they meet safety standards and are in good working condition.
- Report any defects or issues with the crane to the appropriate personnel and assist in troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to crane operations, maintenance activities, safety inspections, and incidents.
- Report any incidents, near misses, or safety concerns promptly to supervisors or safety personnel.
Essentials are:
- Crane operator (with Offshore Crane Endorsement)
Requirements:
Maintain required certifications and training, including.
- TBOSIET
- CA-EBS
- MSIC
- OGUK
