The Role:
At the heart of our client's dynamic team, you will be leading as the Head of Industrial Projects, shaping and elevating our department's performance. Your journey includes developing your team, building and nurturing relationships with clients, ensuring top-notch quality, managing projects, crafting project proposals, and initiating commercial ventures. Your responsibilities go even further as you chart a path for the department's growth, in sync with market opportunities. Close collaboration with branch management, group leaders, and project managers from related departments will be your forte.

Responsibilities:

Team Development: Nurturing your team's growth and development.
Client Relations: Cultivating existing client relationships and acquiring new ones.
Quality Assurance: Ensuring rigorous quality standards are consistently met.
Project Management: Expertly overseeing project management processes.
Proposal Crafting: Meticulously designing compelling project proposals.
Commercial Initiatives: Propelling commercial ventures to expand our department's reach.
Strategic Vision: Developing and executing a clear vision for the department's expansion.
Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborating closely with branch management, group leaders, and project managers from related departments.

Qualifications:

Education: A completed degree at the HBO or WO level in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Experience: A background in the process industry and project engineering is essential.
Technical Project Management: Strong knowledge of project management in industrial projects.
Leadership: Previous experience in a leadership role.
Technical Tools: Familiarity with CAD packages and other technical software.
Commercial Mindset: A commercial mindset with a preferred existing network.
Problem Solving: The ability to swiftly and creatively solve challenges without compromising functionality, reliability, safety, or cost aspects.
Communication: Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
Strategic Thinking: The ability to develop a strategy and lead your colleagues towards its realization.
Proactive: Being proactive and keen on continuously improving processes.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Passion for innovation, commitment to technical excellent and for developing and growing a well rounded project team

Competent use of electrical engineering software.
Proficiency in relevant software, including the MS Office Suite.
Substantial hands-on experience in electrical engineering within a similar industry, including multidisciplinary project and team collaboration.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Recognized and relevant engineering degree.
Preferred: Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
RPEV or RPEQ registration or eligibility for registration.

We are seeking skilled Mechanical Designers to join our clients high performing team to contribute to Brownfields optimization projects in the mining sector. The successful candidate will primarily focus on detailed design for one of W. A's major mining giant's beneficiation plants on site.

It is envisioned that the successful candidate will bring MicroStation proficiency and previous experience working on mining projects in an EPCM environment.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the project team to develop efficient design / piping layouts for brownfields optimization projects.
Conduct detailed design activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Participate in the study period to gather necessary information and perform feasibility assessments.
Contribute to the optimization of mine output by proposing innovative solutions and design improvements.
Work closely with other disciplines to ensure effective coordination and integration of design elements.
Maintain accurate documentation and provide necessary support.

What you will bring:

2 - 5 years previous experience in a similar role.
Previous experience in the mining industry - very desirable
Strong background in materials handling and familiarity with associated equipment.
Proficiency in MicroStation software for drafting and design tasks.
3D piping experience is desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate and high-quality design documentation.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and best practices.
