HSE Advisor - Upstream Security and Emergency Response  

  • 18 Months Contract 

 

Location

  • Chinchilla, Western Downs
  • Travel (from Brisbane), accommodation and food provided

 

Roster

  • 14 Days on 14 days off. 

 

More specifically, your role will include supporting the Security and Emergency response Lead in: 

  • Security & Emergency management in an onshore operational environment.
  • Manage complex security and emergency scenarios, using skills gained by relevant operational experience or formal education.
  • Use your experience from an International Oil Gas Producers (IOGP), Police or Military background to prepare for response to specific scenarios which include current experience in identifying, documenting and managing security & emergency risk scenarios at a tactical, operational and strategic level.
  • Excellent understanding of government & business structures and functions, particularly in the response to security and emergency incidents work across organizational boundaries with internal stakeholder, and with external stakeholder in both the public (local, state/territory, commonwealth and international) sector, and with private commercial providers and organizations operate as an individual within the greater organizations in a proactive way, remain flexible, and use initiative to bring developing issues to senior management's attention.
  • Coach and influence key stakeholders (including contractors) and proactively manage their needs.
  • Influence stakeholders without authority, and work as an independent business partner.
  • Understand complex multi-agency operations particularly with respect to police, defense, border force and emergency services operating procedures.
  • Understand and employ relevant workplace acts/regulations, including Australian and international legislation; this will include practical application in the workplace.
  • Employ a high level of confidentiality, courtesy, and discretion, in incident response and investigation.

 

Requirements:

  • Security and Emergency management experience.
  • Training and/or experience in a recognized emergency response and management system (i.e., ICS, AIIMS, etc.)

 

Mandatory requirements

  • Queensland security license (advisor) 
  • Diploma in Security Risk Management or similar
  • Diploma in Emergency Management or similar
  • ISI (Industry Safety Induction) or industry experienced worker 
  • Must be able to pass background checks and medical
