Airswift is currently looking for an Inventory Controller for one of our largest projects in Aberdeen, UK. The work schedule is Monday-Friday. The length is a 12-month contract with the possibility of an extension. We are looking for candidates with the drive and commitment to make a genuine difference in our performance to ensure that the company continues to differentiate itself from competitors by delivering quality service to our client’s requirements.
The Inventory Controller will be responsible for ensuring that the significant inventory (onshore & offshore) is effectively managed in support of the company’s business. The position will report directly to the Materials & Inventory Manager, contributing significantly towards continuous improvement within the function and the SCM’s annual business delivery objectives.
Key Duties:

Supports inventory utilisation - ensures that inventory levels are appropriate for asset/division and identifies synergies across assets

Supports inventory & disposal processes – ensuring existing inventory is utilised where possible

Controls stock counts and accounting/ reconciliation across assets, warehouses both operated and third party

Control of all company owned inventory and associated activities, including, but not limited to - identifying, recording, coding, procurement, storage, stock-checking and ultimate control and optimisation of all RSRUK owned assets’ inventory

Control of critical equipment spares in combination with appropriate asset and functional technical focal points

Work closely with SAP, Maximo and other systems teams to ensure that the procurement, inventory and logistics solution is fit for purpose

Work with shutdown and campaign teams to ensure Inventory stock availability is known and storage and preservation plans are in place

Management of critical equipment spares in combination with appropriate asset and functional technical focal points

Provide coaching and set expectations for offshore and onshore Material Controllers on acceptable attitudes, behaviours and working practices

Provide expectations for 3rd party service providers on acceptable attitudes, behaviors and working practices

Create, maintain & enhance effective working relationships and identify and minimise interpersonal conflict

Be a proactive member of the Supply Chain team through delivery of continuous improvement

Review stock replenishment levels on a regular basis

Ensure compliance with all customs requirements regarding import, export, UCC and duty obligations

Conduct routine checks to ensure compliance is met in all material related matters, utilising the company’s compliance tools available.
Education & Experience
-
Business, Finance, Law degree or equivalent or experience through on-the-job training and development.

Experience of Materials Management in the UKCS with an all-round understanding of the demands of operations, wells and projects

Experience of coaching and mentoring Materials Controllers

Experience in Materials Management, Inventory Management and Warehousing Operations

Experience with ERP/EAMS systems (specifically SAP and Maximo) and other associated SCM systems and their application and reporting capabilities in relation to Materials Management

Must demonstrate exemplary commitment to good HS&E practice

Ability to travel to supplier/contractor premises outside of Aberdeen and the UK - as required by the business.

Ability to travel to the company’s sites outside of Aberdeen – Peterhead, Flotta, and Offshore installations - as required by the business and undertake any medical or training courses required to complete such necessary travel
