The company/project 
We are seeking a skilled isolation and Permit Officer to join our dynamic team supporting a significant project based in Pilbara. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to essential infrastructure projects while enjoying a balanced work-life schedule with a 2:1 roster.
The role 
  • Collaborate closely with the Permit & Isolation Lead to plan and execute effective isolation practices.
  • Interpret technical procedures, drawings, and established work methodologies.
  • Uphold stringent HSE performance standards pertaining to permits.
  • Effectively communicate permit requirements and ensure alignment with operational needs.
  • Conduct regular field inspections to validate proper isolations and manage comprehensive isolation plans for shutdowns and daily operations.
  • Perform thorough audits on electrical and mechanical isolations to meet regulatory standards.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with contractor HSE teams and project supervision.
  • Lead hazard identification and risk mitigation efforts.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Trade Qualified, with a preference for a WA Electrician’s license.
  • Proven track record in a similar permit officer role, ideally within the mining industry.
  • Familiarity with the latest Work Health and Safety regulations, particularly in mining environments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction and commissioning environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, prioritizing safety in all aspects of work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a practical approach to complex challenges.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
  • Only candidates with the right to work in Australia will be considered.
  • Understands the requirements and has a working knowledge the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022
    (Australian Citizen, PR holder, or Valid Australia working VISA)
