An IST (Information Systems and Technology) Support Officer is a professional providing technical assistance and support for various information systems and technology-related issues within the company and particularly on site. His/her primary role is to ensure the smooth functioning of the organization's IT infrastructure and to assist employees or users with any IT-related problems they may encounter for Windows environment, remote sites for 200 users, 200 workstations, 20 servers, network printers, 150 ToIP phones, video-conferencing system, structure cabling and radio system.

Technical Support: Responding to user inquiries and providing technical assistance via various channels (phone, email, chat, in-person) for hardware, software, network, and other IT-related issues.   

Troubleshooting: Identifying and diagnosing technical problems and working to resolve them in a timely manner. This may involve remotely accessing systems, conducting tests, and utilizing diagnostic tools.                                                                                                       
System Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, patches, system backups, and monitoring system health to ensure optimal performance and security.                 

Hardware and Software Installation: Installing, configuring, and upgrading hardware components (computers, printers, peripherals) and software applications.                                                                       

User Training: Providing training to users on how to use various software applications, tools, and systems effectively.                                                                                     

Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation for IT processes, procedures, and issue resolutions to facilitate knowledge sharing and problem-solving.                                                

Security: Assisting with cybersecurity measures, such as implementing security protocols, educating users about best practices, and ensuring compliance with security policies.                      

Remote Support: Providing remote assistance to users who may be working from different locations, including troubleshooting remote access and connectivity issues.                             

Collaboration: Collaborating with other IT team members and departments to address complex technical issues and contribute to IT projects.                                                                            

Continuous Learning: Staying updated with the latest technological trends, certifications, and industry developments to enhance skills and knowledge.                                                                         

Customer Service: Delivering excellent customer service by maintaining a professional and courteous attitude while interacting with users.

  • Ensure good quality Information Systems support to users, make sure that the affiliate users IST needs are met.
  • Ensure the effectiveness, availability, and reliable business application to all users in the organization.
  • Customer service oriented, excellent written and verbal communications skills, ability to multi-task, work well with others.

  • Good knowledge of English spoken & written.
  • + 10 years IST studies.
  • Network & ToIP: good knowledge and experience of IP routing, switching and ToIP and related Cisco technologies; competencies should match at minimum the Cisco following certifications: CCNA Routing & Switching + CCNA Voice.
  • Microsoft Windows: strong knowledge and experience of Windows 7 support and troubleshooting in the Enterprise; knowledge should match at minimum the Microsoft MCSA Windows 7 certification.
  • IT Service Management: knowledge of the ITIL fundamentals.
  • Customer service oriented, excellent written and verbal communications skills, ability to multi-task, work well with others.
