Airswift is working with one of our major Oil and Gas clients to find a Laydown Yard Warehouse Technician to join their team in Foster Creek
 

RESPONSIBILITIES & COMPETENCIES

  • Manage the receipt, documentation, and storage of materials and equipment in the laydown yard and warehouse.
     
  • Ensure accurate counting and recording of stock items, both manually and using computer systems.
     
  • Pack and unpack items, organizing them on shelves and designated areas within the laydown yard and warehouse.
     
  • Conduct regular inventory checks, reconcile discrepancies, and adjust errors as necessary.
     
  • Implement orderly and accessible storage methods, adhering to safety and organizational standards.
     
  • Label and mark stock items using appropriate identification tools and techniques.
     
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the laydown yard and warehouse, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
     
  • Inspect stock items regularly for wear or defects, reporting any issues to the relevant supervisors.
     
  • Provide guidance and assistance to other team members in the laydown yard and warehouse operations.
     
  • Optimize storage methods and locations based on material turnover, environmental factors, and space utilization.
     
The successful candidate needs to be well-organized, energetic, and service-oriented with the following qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in warehouse management preferred.
     
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, particularly in a laydown yard environment.
     
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on detail orientation.
     
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer skills.
     
  • Knowledge of effective storage practices, safety regulations, and equipment handling.
