Position: Master Data Accountant
Location: Perth
Duration: 6 months and potential for extension
This Master Data Accountant position is a great opportunity to join Woodside’s Finance function and support a range of accounting activities. You will work closely with various finance teams through master data creation and governance process.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Working from our state-of-the-art building in Perth CBD, you will work closely with various finance teams. Typical duties and responsibilities will include:
- Assist the finance business with master data creation, validation and maintenance of costing
- Work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines;
- Ensure work is compliant with all statutory requirements, including tax, SOX and audit compliance and Woodside Code of Conduct; and
- Ensure effective record keeping and audit trail of business records and communications.
- To be successful in this role, you will need demonstrated experience in an accounting / finance / bookkeeping capacity.
- Accounting qualifications are not mandatory, although you may be studying towards an accounting qualification or professional certification. A working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP is of benefit.
- Master Data Management – creation, validation and maintenance of costing and general ledger master data;
- SOX activities – SOX control compliance, and SOX control testing support;
- Cost Accounting – understanding of cost allocation processes
- Fixed Assets – understanding of fixed asset master data
- Joint Venture Accounting – understanding of Joint Venture Accounting
