Our client currently seeks a suitably experienced and qualified Mechanical Designer to join their high performing project team to drive and deliver safe and sustainable ‘fit for purpose’ mechanical engineering services for a large international project facilitating the design of a new fertilizer mine. The role will be based in Perth, WA and offered on an initial 12-month contract.

Your responsibilities will include;

Contribute to mechanical designs aligning with project scope, including the creation of high-quality detailed drawings.
Maintain knowledge of the change management process, ensuring project adherence to policy, regulations, and scope.
Participate in project reviews, HAZIDs/HAZOPs, and safety in design workshops as necessary.
Proactively assess safety hazards and risks throughout the asset's lifecycle and take appropriate action for resolution.

About You

Hold an Australian recognized advanced diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Strong experience in Resource sector projects.
Proficiency across all phases of engineering projects, from feasibility studies to detailed design and execution.
Expertise in materials handling system design, including conveyors, stockyards, and material screening/crushing.
Proficiency in relevant software, including MS Office Suite and discipline-specific software such as MicroStation CE, Aveva E3D or S3D, Navisworks, PDFXchange/Bluebeam/Adobe Suite.

Responsibilities:

Produce detailed design drawings, capital cost estimates, and a full suite of study deliverables.
Operate independently while having access to a principal for technical guidance.
Be responsible for project deliverables, demonstrating capability at a Senior level.
Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
Be an effective communicator, liaising directly with Engineering Managers, Project Managers, and Estimators.
Contribute to a variety of rail projects for different clients, including major projects and sustaining capital initiatives.
Possess knowledge of Pilbara Operator standards, as these differ significantly from Australian Standards.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably with qualifications verified by Engineers Australia if obtained overseas.
A minimum of 3-7 years of technical design engineering experience.

Ability to work independently, taking initiative and showcasing problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to work on a 12-month assignment in Geelong, VIC.

Responsibilities:

Competent use of electrical engineering software.

Substantial hands-on experience in electrical engineering within a similar industry, including multidisciplinary project and team collaboration.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Recognized and relevant engineering degree.
Preferred: Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
RPEV or RPEQ registration or eligibility for registration.
Relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering, management, project management, or equivalent supervisory qualifications.
