You will play a key role providing specific engineering services the client for the hydrocarbons, energy and chemicals industries to enable construction of production plants and facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver discipline specific engineering services that meet the client’s and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Perform discipline specific engineering services such as:
- Prepare detailed design deliverables including datasheets, specifications, scope of supply, technical bid evaluations, drawings, specifications, calculations and reports;
- review of Mechanical data and drawings,
- ensure the project scope is clear and identify changes to scope as required in line with project change management processes;
- contribute to appropriate studies, analyses and recommend actions;
- participate in relevant meetings, follow required checking procedures;
- Technically evaluate vendor equipment supply proposals.
- Identify issues and problems; develop appropriate and innovative solutions and ask for assistance if required.
- A recognised engineering degree in the relevant discipline
- Technical and practical experience in Mechanical/Piping disciplines across mid size - major projects
- Working knowledge in design and specification of equipment such as Shell and Tube heat exchangers, Air cooled heat exchangers, Process columns including internals, drums and separators is preferred
- Experience with pressure equipment design standards; ASME and Australian standards, including Australian requirements for verification and registration is preferred
- Experience working with API and TEMA standards for static equipment listed above
- Understanding of piping and pipe supports and the interfaces with mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge of fundamental requirements - Brownfield/Greenfield Engineering, Equipment layout, interpreting drawing - mech/piping and P&ID
- Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and discipline specific - Navisworks, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite
