Our client seeks a  Mechanical Static Equipment Engineer to join the client's office in Schiedam (Netherlands) for a 12-month contract position.

Job description:
The Mechanical Static Equipment Engineer has knowledge and design experience related to static equipment, complex process packages, (examples, Chemical Injection, Gas dehydration, water treatment, etc), utilities equipment, lifting & handling equipment, as well as general mechanical equipment and all related equipment, excluding rotating equipment categories.

You are responsible for: 

  • Preparation of specifications, performing technical clarifications and evaluations, liaise with purchasing department, intermediate between equipment supplier and internal engineering disciplines.
  • Coordination of the integration of purchased equipment into the overall offshore installation
  • Review of vendor drawings and calculations
  • Safety studies
  • Management of Change (MOC)
  • Final inspections of equipment.


  • Qualification:  Bachelor/ Master of Technology – Mechanical (Preferred) 
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Languages: Professional communication in English (verbal and written)
  • Professional Experience: minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering in the (Offshore) Oil & Gas Industry, this can be in a comparable role or as an engineer (project engineer / system engineer / lead engineer) at a relevant equipment supplier (vendor)
