We are currently looking for an opportunity and risk coordination support who will assist in the development and implementation of the risks and opportunities framework within the Innovative DRI project. They will ensure that the O&R management cycle is in place and assists the O&R Lead in maintaining and improving the way uncertainty is managed in the program. The chosen individual will liaise with the multiple teams inside the program, including contractors, engineering companies and project control partners, providing support as needed for the deployment of the program’s Project O&R approach.

Skills and Competencies
  • Support the O&R Lead in the implementation of the program’s risk management and opportunity plan.
  • Liaise with the Program’s Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management partner (EPCM) and Project Management and Controls (PMC) partners for opportunities and risks-related matters, including cost estimates, schedule risk assessments, contingency estimation reviews. Frequent conversations, manipulation of information and review of practices adopted by the partners.
  • Prepare and treat information from different sources in preparation of the multiple reports of the discipline.
  • Maintain a functional risk database to be used as a repository of risks by the several risk owners throughout the program.
  • Run possible scenarios depending on opportunity & risk aggregation, root cause analysis and distribution models for the right needs during the different moments of the project’s life.
  • Sorting of relevant information, collection of data to facilitate O&R analysis in an agreed timeframe. Alerts on deviations related to the Risk Management framework and related rules.

Education, Experiences & Languages
  • University degree or Masters in Business, Sciences or Economics or Engineering
  • Understands the principles of risk management and the relevance and uses of theories, processes, and tools.
  • Project management certification or experience in project execution
  • IT literacy: MS Office, including Power BI and SharePoint management, Database management (MS Access, SQL Server), Excel modelisation, Programming languages: VBA, R or Python or similar are welcome Familiar with some technical risk assessment techniques like FMEA, BowTie, HAZOP
  • Work experience in the opportunity and risk management of CAPEX projects (preferably with experience with working with EPC / EPCM)
  • Languages: Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
