This role will oversee the successful delivery of a new large-scale green hydrogen and green ammonia production plant You will be responsible for the management of all Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning activities, ensuring that the project meets its technical, financial, and timeline goals.

• Lead and be accountable for the project delivery from Detailed design to commissioning 

• Develop Monitor and manage project budgets and schedules 

• Provide leadership in HSE and QA/QC whilst approving relevant plans and monitoring implementation 

• Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes

• Ensuring all activities comply with local and international regulations 

• Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes

• Responsible for all management, commercial and technical decisions relating to the project.

Basic Qualification & Job Requirements:

• Proven ability to manage large-scale projects (US$200M +)

• Significant background on the client side, managing large EPC contracts.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project delivery within the energy or chemical sector.

 

Job Description for Sr. Electrical engineer

Project Description
One of the world’s largest independent commodities trading houses by turnover. Several major projects are being planned.

All projects are in the FEED phase and site preparations have started. He/she will participate in the project teams during the FEED, the detailed engineering, the construction, mechanical completion, the commissioning and start-up phase of the projects. He/she is responsibility for high quality electrical engineering deliverables, prepared by the engineering contractors during FEED and Detail Engineering and reviews key vendor documents. The sr. electrical engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the electrical designs, identifies & resolves non-compliances and works with others to resolve Electrical issues.

Position Description:       As a member of the Project team, he / she contributes to the maturing the projects and provide discipline expertise. The selected person will be responsible:

• Review and approve project documents.
• Assuring consistent application of standards and manages the control of any justifiable deviations.
• Liaise effectively with other functions (Projects, Project Services, HSE, legal, Maintenance and Operations, e.g.).
• Accountable for the quality of technical work and for the technical integrity, constructability, functionality, safe operation and reliability of designs.
• Support electrical engineers of Engineering Contractors and Construction Contractors.

Key activities and accountabilities will include:
 

• Establish a safety-first culture to the project.
• Provide Engineering and Construction expertise.
• Ensuring delivery to agreed quality standards, schedule and cost.
• Build an excellent relationship and interface with OWNERs project
  team and design/construction contractors.
• Manage support with respect to HSE, Design Reviews, Quality Assurance and Control.
• Implement the relevant engineering standards, capture lessons learned through pre- and post-project reviews, implement quality, and provide specialized technical support to projects and also to operations and maintenance.

              
Experience/Skill:

• 15+ years engineering and Brownfield/Greenfield work experience
• Good negotiation skills.
• Good planning skills.
• Good knowledge of policies, procedures and best practices in the areas his/her discipline.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Good people management.
• An HSE driven mindset.
• Working experience on the entire project life cycle (from conceptual design through to final commissioning and handover).
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Good communication skills and aptitude for taking initiatives are essential.
• Manage and support of Electrical installation contractors.
• Manage and support electrical engineers of Engineering Contractors.
• Thorough knowledge of projects and his discipline within engineering
• Applied Knowledge of Dutch and European Norms.
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields.

Job Title: Senior Project Engineer - Electrical

Function: Project Engineer

Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands

Sector: Sustainable Aviation Fuel

You will be responsible from the initial concept through to the final implementation phase of a sustainable aviation fuel project. You will be reviewing and assessing the engineering documentation packages. Ensuring that outsourced engineering works meet the requirements, Procedures, technical specifications and requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and assess outsourced engineering works meets the internal engineering specifications

• Monitoring budgets and schedules for electrical discipline

• Advises and supports the Project Manager to ensure that outsourced engineering assignments meet the requirements, procedures, technical specifications, and government and safety requirements.

• Engineering design specifications by actively updating and ensuring designs are meeting the specifications.

• Providing support and technical support on a day to day basis.

• Able to work to ATEX Design Requirements

• Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Design Works

Experience:

• Experience with Revie and Approval of third party electrical design documentation

• Knowledge and Experienced with Electrical Calculations and System Simulations

• 7 Years experience working for Design office or operator
