JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehousing, Inventory, Supply Chain Management
Act as representative specific to cargo deliveries and from supply base locations, inclusive but not limited to the supply base quayside, pipeyard, and other associated storage areas.
Liaise with suppliers for timely and accurate delivery of cargo to and from offshore operation.
Provide oversight on supply base service provider specific to care and owned and rented equipment.
Liaise with Environmental team regarding waste management activities occurring within supply base service provider scope of work.
Provide onsite oversight for critical activities, inclusive of but no limited to receipt and dispatch of OCTG; supply vessel loading operations (in port); tank cleaning activities
Oversee safety and incident reporting conducted by suppliers associated with cargo movement and supply base service provider.
Report all risks to operational schedule (quayside bottlenecks, inability to meet vessel schedule timeframes, road closures, shortage or lack of equipment, etc) leadership immediately.
Attend and actively participate in tactical meetings specific to cargo operations, daily rig calls, etc.
Lead/support various project initiatives that will drive Warehousing strategy and warehousing improvements in the region.
Agree appropriate preservation standards for stored materials and oversee supplier execution of agreed standards.
Work with Warehousing Service Providers to optimize the utilization of warehouse and storage yard areas for the most efficient and effective storage, handling and flow of materials.
Influence the selection of the most appropriate handling and storage equipment and ensure it is operated and maintained in a correct and safe manner and that operators are certified and trained for the relevant equipment.
Achieve the optimal balance of service and risk level, operational costs and efficient investment in the warehouse.
Deliver Materials Management activity in support of crisis management as needed and defined by Regional Crisis Management Response team.
Conduct regular site monitoring activities to verify conformance to warehousing standards.
Ensure that the warehouse infrastructure inspection and maintenance plan is in place and activities executed per agreed plan.
Provide input for the annual budgetary plan and monitor warehousing cost during the year.
Verify the cost invoiced by Warehousing Service Provider.
Critically assess Regional Warehousing network map to determine number, capacity and location of required storage locations that will improve efficiency and optimize cost.
Work with Warehousing Service Provider to plan material storage; choose locations, control facilities and inventory, layout facilities, configure storage areas, storage capacity utilization.
In coordination with the Inventory Management Lead, ensure that cyclical inventory counts are carried out as per the plan.
Ensure that Preservation activities schedule is established, and preservation performed per plan.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in Safety, Logistics, Materials Management and Warehousing.
Deep knowledge in Logistics procedures and standards specific to pipeyard, warehouse, and quayside activities.
Strong knowledge of vessels loading/offloading operations, bunkering operations, as well as tank cleaning services.
Deep knowledge of SAP
Knowledge of explorations drilling campaigns and associated cargo movement to support.
Good experience with environmental activities, Waste Management, handling and storage of hazardous materials.
Familiar with Emergency and Contingency Plans (Emergency response, Oil Spill Contingency (PEI), MEDEVAC)
Skilled at managing through complexity and executing activities in multi-task, multi-discipline, multi-cultural environments, with regional and country-specific issues and challenges.
Understanding of the safety risks associated with Warehousing and Logistics and risk mitigation activities.
Working knowledge of systems such as Backbone SAP and software tools such as Excel, Word, Access, etc.
