This position requires a strong understanding of preventive & corrective maintenance (PM/CM), work force coordination, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including Maintenance Coordinators, Offshore Supervisors, Engineers, Planners, and external contractors.

 

The individual in this role will utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and other planning tools to ensure the timely and effective execution of project & shutdown maintenance plans.

 

Projects & Shutdown Coordinator

  • Duration: 12 Months Contract 
  • Location: Perth, CBD - With some site travel

Responsibilities:

  • Plan & Co-ordinate medium and large-scale project activities across client Australian facilities, ensuring synergies and onshore resources support are met.
  • Develop, maintain, and oversee the holistic aspects of project management, including defining objectives, scoping, timelines, securing funding, and assembling appropriate resources.
  • Establish clear project milestones, adeptly manage unforeseen delays, and recalibrate schedules and expectations as necessary to ensure project continuity.
  • Create and execute comprehensive communication strategies, providing regular status updates to affected stakeholders, fostering transparency and engagement.
  • Plan and coordinate medium to large projects and shutdown maintenance activities across all Australian Facilities.
  • Focal for development of major shutdowns by ensuring work packs are in place for major equipment and by ensuring that materials and parts for the major equipment are available on time.
  • Liaise with facilities Management Teams, Maintenance Coordinators, and contractors in ordering of stores, spare gear to effectively execute projects/shutdowns activities.
  • Review work of 3rd parties and ensure accurate close out of scope of work is completed. Ensure all equipment certification, close out documents are reviewed by SME and captured in our CMMS.
  • Recognize class and flag survey requirements and plan for the preparation of machinery or equipment for survey that requires shutdown.
  • Interfaces with the Maintenance and Projects Superintendent, Engineering Manager and Offshore FMT in the implementation and execution of engineering change requests.

 

 

Formal Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Trade, Engineering or Project Management qualification preferred.
  • Demonstrated scheduling-planning experience using Maintenance Management Systems in Operations & Maintenance Environment Oil and Gas.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic offshore environment.
  • Understanding of Statutory / Class / Flag requirements.
  • Extensive planning exposure and shutdown experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of PRIMVERA or MS Project.
