Summary
Are you a Project Engineer looking to apply and develop your skills in a dynamic environment? Airswift is actively seeking a Project Engineer for an immediate start to work on an initial 6-month contract (likely to be extended) in Perth, WA with a leading engineering company within the mining space. 
Working on a major project for an iron ore client, you will be responsible for providing essential support to the Engineering Manager in ensuring accurate coordination of Change Management, Safety in Design Management, Design & Engineering Governance and progress measurement as well as deliverables management.

Job responsibilities will include key accountabilities such as
  • Support the Engineering Manager with implementing and overseeing change management processes within the project scope.
  • Manage Safety in Design (SID) ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Facilitate Design and Engineering governance by coordinating project activities to meet quality, schedule and budget requirements.
  • Manage and track deliverable for ensuring Design & Engineering progress, including drawing, specifications, reports and technical documents, ensuring transparency and accurate tracking of project milestones.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and challenges on the project.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, clients, and contractors to ensure alignment of project objectives and expectations.
  • Uphold a strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards, promoting a culture of safety excellence throughout all project phases.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in project engineering and experience working within the mining industry.
  • Major project exposure and/or engineering management experience.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a team environment and foster good relationships.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
