Responsibilities
- Independently work together with the Contractor Engineering team on the detail design of the Processing Facility.
- Field the technical queries that the Contractor may have and interface with the Owner Engineering team to pursue expedited resolution and response of the TQ’s to the Contractor.
- Ensure that the client's specifications included in the contract are adhered to by the Contractor.
- Support the PM on initiating. progressing, and getting approval for Scope, Budget, and Schedule changes following the Management of Change (MOC) procedure and work processes.
- Schedule management: ensure the contractor meets monthly engineering and fabrication objectives and milestones.
- Scope management: ensure avoidance of unnecessary changes.
- Budget management: support the Project manager on the monthly development of project’s budget forecasts, as well as in the assessment of value of work done (VOWD) belonging to the scope.
- Reporting: compiling and integrating all project progress data and issuing the internal progress report.
- Support the PM on the multiple activities related to the development and execution of the modules transportation plan.
- Ensure all technical documentation issued by the Contractor to Document Control reach the specific team members that need or relate to that documentation on an expedited and efficient manner.
- Ensure Safety in Design is being followed as well as State of Alaska Compliance.
- Support definition of technical scope and execution plan for all the engineering work packages.
- Coordinate communication and resolution of interfaces issues with other project scope/contractors.
- Provide guidance and ensure active participation in the Constructability process (plan reviews, workshops, drawing package reviews, 3D model reviews), taking a proactive and professional approach to improving design and reducing fabrication and final hook up installation costs.
- Participate in bi-weekly HSE walkdowns and provide input to the associated reports.
- Lead and participate in 90% progress walkdowns for all modules.
- Participate in planning for commissioning & start-up and final documentation handover to Operations.
- Continuously monitor and assess project risks developing and implementing mitigations as appropriate following the risk management process.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction.
- Professional registration with APEGA (nice to have, but open to coordinators/specialists)
- + 15 years of experience working on major oil and gas capital projects (> $USD 200 million).
- Experience in Oil and Gas project execution with exposure to detail design, procurement, fabrication, and construction.
- Experience in modules fabrication, and execution of Oil and Gas projects with a modularized approach.
- Thorough understanding of applicable codes and standards.
- Experience working on Alaska North Slope projects would be a plus
