Airswift is looking for a Project Manager to work for a major nuclear client in Huntersville, NC, for a 1-year assignment likely to be extended.

This position is typically retained to manage multiple “Green I” or “Green II” projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix. The Project Manager may have relationships with individuals in various organizations ranging from individual contributors to Senior Department Leadership (i.e. individual contributors up to executive management).

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 9 years of project management experience.
  • Graduation from a four-year college or university.
  • Proficient in project management principles
  • Experience dealing with the NRC.
Preferred Background:
  • Electrical Engineering preferred with an emphasis in Power Systems Engineering
  • Or Professional experience with interconnection management.
  • Masters - business (MBA), project management, or equivalent.
  • Utility Technical Certifications/Training; PMP or CAPM Certification; CMII/Construction Certifications; Professional Engineer License.
  • Working knowledge to proficiency in project related Scheduling/ Cost Controls.
  • Experience in utility industry.
  • Knowledge in construction management.
  • Requires a Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise reports and make professional presentations to senior management and ability to lead, direct and motivate a diverse, matrixed team.
  • Knowledge of NRC requirements, policies, practices, and programs applicable to commercial light-water nuclear power reactors, advanced reactors, non-power reactors, or other similar regulated entities.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, schedule, manage, and complete the review of technical and policy issues affecting licensing and related activities of commercial light- water nuclear power reactors, advanced reactors, non-power reactors, or other similar regulated entities.
