Job Title: Project Planner - Refinery Decommissioning and Dismantling

As we embark on a significant project involving the decommissioning and dismantling of the Mantua Refinery in Mantova, we are seeking a dedicated Project Planner to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the project duration.
Position Overview:
As a Project Planner, you will play a crucial role in the planning and scheduling of our refinery decommissioning and dismantling project. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans, establish timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle. Your expertise in project management and planning will be instrumental in achieving project objectives efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Identify project dependencies, critical path activities, and potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress and performance against established timelines and milestones.
- Conduct regular progress reviews and update project plans as necessary to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Communicate project status updates, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders and project teams.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Provide support and guidance to project teams on project planning and scheduling best practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Planner or Scheduler in a refinery, petrochemical, or similar industrial environment.
- Strong proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
- Solid understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Prior experience with refinery decommissioning and dismantling projects is preferred.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is desirable.
