Job Title: PVV Engineer

Location: Paris Area, France (with frequent missions to Lagos, Nigeria)

Duration: Approximately 6 months (FEED Phase), up to 24 months (EPC Phase), Renewable

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

As a PVV Engineer for a Deepwater Oil Development Project, you will oversee all aspects of Piping, Valves, and Vessels (PVV) design during the FEED/Detailed Engineering studies of the topside. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Development of Handling Philosophy: Define the handling philosophy and equipment requirements for the project, ensuring integration with existing Egina facilities and compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
  • Technical Oversight: Act as the focal point for all piping scope and integration activities, coordinating with contractors and support entities to ensure timely delivery and compliance with project requirements.
  • Engineering Compliance: Ensure all engineering activities adhere to industry best practices, company rules, technical directives, and relevant processes to maintain quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Interface Management: Manage interfaces with other project disciplines and stakeholders, resolving integration issues and ensuring alignment with project goals and schedules.
  • Documentation Review: Review, comment, and approve all PVV engineering documents, including incorporation of vendor data and compliance with design requirements.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with HQ Technical Lines Specialists and other project teams to prepare tender documents, participate in design reviews and workshops, and ensure timely review of contractor deliverables.
  • Technical Evaluation: Evaluate contractor submissions, review technical specifications, and provide technical answers to queries related to PVV issues.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that all engineering work meets project scope requirements, company specifications, international codes, and quality, schedule, and cost targets.

 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Engineering Degree
  • Fluent in English (verbal & written)
  • 15+ years of experience in Piping system design and installation in Oil and Gas activities, including FPSO or offshore facilities experience
  • Strong knowledge of oil and gas industry codes & standards related to piping, valves, and vessels
  • Experience in calculation, estimation, and engineering software for piping systems
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a complex, multicultural environment
