We are currently recruiting an experienced Rail Safety Manager to work on major rail projects in SEQ. Working for a renowned infrastructure consulting firm, the function of this advisor is to support the client with setting up any processes and procedures required for the workplace and sites, undertake audits, develop and review client-side Safe Work Method statements and any other safety documents required.
Experience working on TMR projects is required (road, rail etc).
Location- Brisbane CBD with occasional site travel
Duration- 6-month Contract
Hours- Monday – Friday, standard working hours
Rate- $130hr - $160hr including super
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards
- Collaborate with various government / rail operator divisions to integrate safety practices into daily operations.
- Develop and review Safe Work Method statements
- Representing the client, ensure correct processes are set up so that contractors can deliver and comply with rail safety standards
- Monitor and analyse safety performance metrics, preparing reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and participate in regulatory audits and inspections.
Required Experience
- 7+ years’ Safety Management experience on significant transport infrastructure projects
- Relevant Qualification / Certificate within WHS / OHS / HSEQ
- Previous experience working on TMR Projects (QLD)
- Exposure to consulting, client-side environment is desirable
- Current Drivers Licence
- In-depth knowledge of Australian Rail Safety standards and regulations

Piping Designer II
Contract
Location: Charleston, WV
Purpose:
Under some supervision within the piping discipline, you will assist with the delivery of design and drafting services to company's and its customers.
Responsibilities:
- You will participate in the Interactive planning meeting to help develop schedule development to establish major milestones
- Be knowledgeable of client procedures, and project procedures and specifications
- Identify and request information in the form of a 'Needs List' to maintain schedule.
- Utilize 3D model (PDMS/E3D/Navisworks) review software to monitor design quality and progress
- Coordinate the design effort with other engineering disciplines
- Participate in all design reviews for the project.
- Piping Designer with PDMS/E3D & Field experience to perform Field Walk down of existing P&ID’s, shoot elevation with level & tripod, Locating tie point dimensionally, and Routing pipe through existing facilities. Bring that back to the office and inputting the field data into the PDMS/E3D model.
- Some projects will utilize laser scanning so experience locating tie point in the scan, and routing pipe through existing facilities within the scan and PDMS/E3D will be required.
- Experience with executing projects within existing facilities with lots of obstructions and other design constraints.
What You Will Bring

Responsibilities for the Job
• Ensure the development of the Project Schedule according to contractual requirements and internal standards, verifying its feasibility and highlighting any criticalities
• Implement the Planning and Progress Control System required by the contract and in compliance with internal standards
• Interface and coordinate with Discipline Leaders, Supervisors, and Managers to build up activities, assign milestones, identify project constraints and devise the activity network
• Prepare all the reference baseline documents, and ensure that the Project’s planning and scheduling requirements are properly and clearly communicated to those functionally responsible for executing the work
• Issue all relevant reporting in a timely manner
• Perform critical path analysis
• Issue the Planning & Scheduling Procedure and the Progress Measurement Procedure
• Perform schedule risk analysis
• Participate in risk management activities
• Ensure the effectiveness of the Planning and Progress Control System, monitoring the progress measurement system and ensuring the proper information flow, progress status and completion forecast are assessed and reported throughout the Project Lifecycle (EPCI)
• Update all Project Schedules, collecting actual data, evaluating forecast dates and monitoring any progress and productivity deviation compared with the baseline schedule, including the corrective actions taken by the PM
• Maintain records for all significant events, like contractual claims/obligations, productivity, deliverables, materials status, with extensive use of Company/Partner/Client IT systems and reports
• Create and maintain the 90 days look-ahead schedule, weekly schedule, and monthly schedule. Isolate any adverse trends and warn the PM on time to take corrective actions
• Issue weekly and monthly project reports (internally and to the Client)
• Assist the Project Control Manager in the preparation of the Project Status Report
• Participate in coordination meetings (internally or with the Client as appropriate)
• Support the Project during contract amendments/claims providing the time impact analysis
• Support the Project Control Manager to prepare the Project Close-Out Report and productivity feedback data
Required Skills:
• Degree qualified, preferably in engineering
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Previous experience working on Oil and Gas projects
• Past experience of EPCI projects, with a strong emphasis on offshore vessel planning
• Expert user of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
