The Role:
Are you an experienced (Lead) Engineer in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, and Automation? Do you want to be the central figure in various projects within the gas, food, and chemical sectors?
In your capacity as a (Lead) Engineer, you will serve as a pivotal figure in a wide range of mono- and multidisciplinary projects. Your responsibilities will encompass the complete project life cycle, starting from initial concept development, all the way through to commissioning. Your expertise will be instrumental in translating preliminary sketches, specifications, and technical designs into actionable plans for tendering or execution.

Responsibilities:

• Play a key role in both mono- and multidisciplinary projects, from initial sketches, specifications, and technical designs to tendering or execution.
• Provide technical guidance to clients, create (partial) budgets and schedules, and maintain close collaboration with engineers and drafters in your projects.
• Take ownership of various projects, ensuring proper documentation and communication.
• Manage relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry specialists within and outside of Sweco.
• Perform tasks across various project phases, from concept to commissioning.

Qualifications:

• A relevant completed bachelor's/master's degree with a background in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, and Automation.
• Substantial experience as an engineer, preferably in an industrial environment.
• Demonstrable practical field experience.
• High levels of personal responsibility and customer focus.

Airswift is working with a leading company to find a Fire Protection Engineer to join their team in a long contract in Monrovia, CA with benefits!

Duties and Responsibilities:

• With-in the Fire Protection Group performs conventional and moderately engineering, design, analysis, or other technical tasks utilizing current technology and available standards, templates, and cataloged products with minimal supervision.   
• May perform in a technical leadership role, coordinating and instructing others in the production of customer-focused engineering services that meet established project requirements.  
• Implements the Company Procedures while seeking improvements to work process and design/engineering approaches.
• Must be diligent, schedule driven and confident and engaging when presenting to clients.
• Recognized engineer within the Mechanical group uses best practices to solve functional issues and improve programs and/or processes in support of organizational business challenges.
• Has technical competency in adherence to Corporate, local, regulatory codes and standards, adherence to engineering laws and guidelines.
• Relies on systemic thinking and understanding of broader organizational implications of the work being performed to solve problems.
• Will be required to develop/support specifications, data sheets, technical bids, purchase orders, support resolving technical queries from vendors, able to coordinate project requirements with other disciplines, project staff and clients. 
• Will be required to maintain quality deliverables through-out the procurement of the equipment. 
• Will be required to support work share activities with overseas offices on various equipment deliverables. Possible site visits.

Qualifications:

*2+ years Fire Protection experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.

*Proficient with NFPA Standards and codes.

*Proficient in Hydraulic software modeling using PIPENET

*Extensive experience with Pumps, Hydrants, Spray connection and Fire water tankage equipment.

*Proficient in the Engineering/design and calculations for gas detection and suppression systems

*Able size fire water deluge, spray and foam systems and all associated equipment.

*Able to generate specifications and data sheets for requisitioning of Fire and Gas fighting Equipment, work with equipment vendors to confirm code and NFPA compliance.

*Ability to understand the different stages of Engineering Development and deliverables during Pre-FEED, FEED and detail design of large capital projects.

*Able to manage/facilitation and participation in safety studies like HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP.

*Ability to work in a team orientated project, with good verbal and written communications in English.

 Preferred Experience:

* NFPA (National Fire Protection Agency) certification

*Able to engineer Hazardous area classification schedules and layouts for aiding equipment selection suitable for use in hazardous (flammable) environments.

*PE in any State

• Develop and execute the overall product strategy, including product roadmaps, feature prioritization, and go-to-market plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and sales to ensure successful product delivery.
• Travel to customers in key market sectors across ANZ, SEA and India.  
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, to gather technical and operational requirements for new products, features or solutions.
• Lead deal review presentations to business leaders
• Responsible for orders growth and market share expansion within the region
• Monitor processes and recommend business strategies to minimise costs.

• Degree preferable but not essential – ideally in engineering, technical or business domain
• 10+ years experience in leading cross-functional teams, paired with experience in product management and commercial operations.
• A passion and understanding of new and emerging technologies particularly within the green energy domain
• Product Management experience in rail, mining, oil & gas, aviation or similar industry
• Ability to present to Executive / Senior stakeholders
