We are currently recruiting for a Regulatory Compliance Engineer to be placed in Nanterre, FR and would be on a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. The main function is to Establish, maintain and implement project procedures related to regulatory compliance, ensuring adequate reporting to project management and the client.

Responsibilities
  • Establish, maintain, and implement project procedures related to regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure adequate reporting to project management and the client.
  • Review the national regulations identified as applicable by the legal consultant and inform the project of the regulations that impact each phase of the project, helping to clarify where necessary.
  • Establish and maintain a register of authorizations.
  • Establish and implement Class activities with the classification society, ensure that all exchanges on the project are carried out, understood, and formally recorded in a timely manner and with the required quality.
  • Ensure project documents are identified and transferred to the classification society in a timely manner, ensure discipline closure.
  • Coordinate project related questions to the Class.
  • Ensure that all exchanges with third parties are timely and of good quality. Ensure requirements are cascaded to suppliers/subcontractors as required.
  • Serve as an internal and external focal point for the above-mentioned activities.

Skills / Qualifications
  • An engineering degree or equivalent, at least 5 years of relevant work experience with Classification Societies, Auditing in the Marine/Oil & Gas industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with third party organisations, national authorities and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with local regulations and licensing.
  • Good communication and coordination skills, ability to work with third party organisations, local authorities, client, suppliers, subcontractors and internally with multiple disciplines.
  • Good knowledge of classification and verification rules, international acts, and regulations.
  • Technical knowledge of systems and packages, construction and test philosophy. A good knowledge of technical security is an advantage.
  • Experience in operations, engineering, construction and commissioning as well as an understanding of engineering processes is an asset.
