Role Description:
- Execute specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site.
- Issue relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, write and send non-conformance reports to the Quality Control Supervisor.
- Check the preparation of foundations and reinforcements for correctness.
- Verify certifications regarding element mixes, including ASTM tests, chemical analysis, and grain size analysis.
- Monitor atmospheric conditions during pouring operations and ensure correct curing operations.
- Check sampling operations, laboratory examination results, sub-grade dry density, moisture content, and compression strength tests.
- Conduct checks after the execution of costing and concrete pouring.
- Assess materials quality such as wire, fittings, etc.
- Verify special processes and relevant workers' qualifications.
- Orderly collect, check, and manage documents certifying tests, controls, and inspections carried out.
- Ensure conformity with the Quality Control Plan and obtain relevant documentation.
- Implement the approved Inspection Test Plan according to Clients' requirements.
- Contribute to the design and construction of concrete parts on the plant.
- Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process.
- Assist in the preparation of estimates and schedules and participate in their review.
- Maintain good communication with the client and visit sites when necessary.
- Ensure that designs comply with relevant procedures and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Ability to plan, understand the required sequence of work, distinguish main and secondary issues, and see the bigger picture.
- MSc or BSc degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or appropriate engineering subject.
- Work experience as a Civil Engineer/inspector/supervisor.
- Ability to estimate man-hours and materials for delegated aspects of work.
- Ability to work with other disciplines and drafting sections to meet delivery dates.
- Proactive, analytical, and positive attitude.
- Outstanding collaboration skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken German, with proficiency in English.
