Our client, based in Fortitude Valley, seeks a talented Senior Document Controller with exposure to Technical Writing. On offer is an initial 12 month contract commencing early January. Ideally you will have had exposure to the Energy industry - Mining, O&G or Renewables will be highly regarded.
Your primary areas of responsibility will include:
  • Reviewing technical and project documentation such as reports and plans, while ensuring that they are optimised for delivery to customers and stakeholders.
  • Working with project team members to track the progress of documentation deliverables to ensure on-time submissions.
  • Ensuring that all documentation is filed and stored correctly in the document management system.
  • Administration of document workflows across a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Reviewing documents and ensuring that all aspects of finalisation are complete, this includes formatting, cross referencing and template compliance quality checks
  • Collecting, registering, scanning and uploading documents, 
  • Scanning, printing, filing and distributing documents across workstream and business areas
  • Reporting on document control matters to Project Managers and Engineers
  • Responding to project documentation enquiries from the project and bid delivery teams, customers, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Technical writing – updating and re-writing as required

 We hope you will bring
  • A minimum of 5 years in a similar role
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience as a DC or in a records management role, preferably within a major project or program delivery context
  • Certificate IV or equivalent experience in Document management or Library and Information Services - Desirable but not essential
  • Experience using a range of computer applications including the Microsoft suite of products
  • The ability to work in a multitasked, dynamic, and changing environment
  • Problem-solving skills and hold a high level of initiative and self-motivation
