Our client is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Engineer to work on a 12-month assignment in Melbourne, VIC.
Role Overview:

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue Instrument Basis of Design and Project Specifications for various systems (DCS, SIS, FGS, MMS, PLC) and instrumentation for Packaged Equipment.
- Create, review, and approve Instrument data sheets, including Control valves, On-Off Valves, Safety Relief Valves, and other field instruments.
- Verify calculations for orifice plate bore, Control Valve Cv, and PSV's, among others.
- Review and approve Cause & Effect diagrams and Logic diagrams.
- Evaluate and approve vendor documents for DCS, SIS, FGS, MMS, PLC systems, and Mechanical Packaged equipment.
- Generate Material/Technical Requisitions for instruments, conduct Technical Bid Evaluations, and review vendor documents.
- Review and approve instrument Index, DCS/SIS/FGS/MMS/PLC I/O Lists.
- Develop Cable schedules, Interconnection wiring drawings, Termination drawings, Junction box schedules, and Instrument Hook-up drawings.
- Prepare and issue Specifications for Instrument cables, Junction boxes, and Instrument Installation scope.
- Review and approve Block diagrams, Control/Rack room layout, Cable routes, instrument location plans, and Loop drawings.
- Conduct reviews of P&ID's, Isometric drawings, and 3-D modeling.
- Contribute to both Greenfield and Brownfield Projects.
- Ensure adherence to the Quality Management System and implement Client's Company QA plans.
About You:
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics or Chemical Engineering.
- RPEV Registration.
- Extensive experience with DCS/PLC based control systems and software products.
- Strong understanding of networking and communication protocols.
- Enthusiastic team player with a willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
- Site-based experience will be highly regarded.
