Working on a major sustaining capital project for an iron ore client, you will be responsible in providing essential support for non-process infrastructure (water connections – pipeline, dewatering stations – pumping, and support on gas crossover.
Project Insights
- Major sustaining capital projects for an existing mine site. Developing two (2) additional ore bodies.
- Main design endeavours will be bulk earthworks, water transport & management, low voltage powerlines and comms.
- New non-process-infrastructure haul road networks (civil earthworks), gas pipeline crossing, LV access roads, surface water management (waterway crossing), connection/extension to existing raw water distribution, satellite NPI facilities, communications infrastructure.
- First 6 months will be basic design. Then transition to detailed design. A good 18 months minimum of work in the schedule.
- Client will utilise existing plant, stockyards, and TLO.
Candidate Requirements
- Mechanical Engineering Degree – recognised by Engineers Australia.
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering experience.
- Not essential but beneficial to have experience with WaterGEMS.
- Mining non-process infrastructure background preferred.
- Will consider onshore oil and gas projects experience.
