Our tier 1 EPCM client is currently seeking a seasoned Senior Project Engineer to join their largest sustaining capital project group. This pivotal role focuses on a major expansion project at a leading iron ore hub nestled in the vibrant Pilbara region of Western Australia.
Based in the heart of Perth CBD, this position offers a dynamic opportunity on an initial 12-month contract with potential extensions. We are looking for an individual with significant experience in sustaining capital project engineering, particularly within the realm of iron ore SMP projects in an EPCM environment.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting, bringing expertise and ingenuity to drive project success. Beyond the initial project, high-performing individuals will find ample opportunities within their robust pipeline of work.

What you will do
  • Spearhead the development and execution of project controls, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Produce comprehensive reports, scopes of work, and project schedules, while managing budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor project progress and promptly identify any emerging issues related to budgets, timelines, and engineering standards.
  • Offering expert-level support in estimating, scheduling, and reporting activities.
  • Provide stakeholder management, fostering positive client relationships by consistently delivering work in a professional and efficient manner.

What you will bring
  • Possess a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Demonstrate a solid track record with a minimum of 8 years in project engineering, particularly in SMP projects.
  • Expertise in Mining, engineering design, and sustaining capital project settings.
  • Adeptness in interpreting and effectively communicating technical details to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to thrive in collaborative team environments and foster positive relationships.
  • Display exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
