Our client, a major Oil and Gas company, is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their team on a 1-year contract in Calgary, AB.
RESPONSIBILITIES & COMPETENCIES
- Accountable for project delivery to meet needs and opportunities generated by Business Development including scope and design development, option evaluation, pre-FEED, FEED, and execution (detailed design and construction) as per the company’s Stage Gate Project Delivery process.

- Ability to plan, organize, execute, control, and use the company’s processes, procedures, and best practices to deliver the highest value projects.
- Ability to adapt processes to be fit-for-purpose, to listen and communicate information to the team and project stakeholders, and to propose and provide solutions.
- Ensure adequate focus on Front End Loading and early engagement of project contributors and stakeholders.
- Manage external service providers such as Engineering, Procurement and Construction to develop project deliverables and deliver the project.
- to align, motivate, and inspire the team to act in harmony and to engage and collaborate with functional stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate needs to be well-organized, energetic, and service-oriented with the following qualifications:
- Engineering degree from accredited university and registered as a Professional Engineer in Alberta.
- Minimum 15 years of project engineering &/or project management experience:
- Experience in successfully managing brownfield and greenfield facility projects ($100MM+).
- visionary and strategic thinking and consider unfamiliar approaches and solutions openly. Demonstrate creativity, adopt new ideas, and encourage innovation.
- business and financial acumen and an understanding of the value delivered by the Project.
