Our client in the Retail Industry is seeking to hire a Strategic Security Manager to be based at its Head Officer in Port Moresby, NCD. The incumbent will provide support, organize, and oversee all security operations of our client company.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive security framework to protect the company’s assets, infrastructure, team members and customers.
  • Design and implement security plans, policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols to mitigate risks and maintain a secure environment.
  • Ability to conduct a full risk assessment and journey management plan for Brian Bell Group’ international service providers. Must have an excellent understanding of vulnerabilities including carjacking, civil unrest, kidnapping, and natural disasters (landslides, earthquakes etc) and develop and implement protocols to protect teams and equipment including extraction plans
  • Investigate and monitor incident response activities, including investigations, root cause analysis and developing corrective actions.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with external partners, such as regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, security vendors and industry associations to enhance security capabilities.
  • Monitor security systems for potential threats, promptly investigating and mitigating security incidents.
  • Oversee the management of physical security measures, including access controls, CCTV systems, and security personnel.
  • Stay updated with the latest security trends, technologies and regulatory changes, ensuring continuous improvement of the security function.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 or above tertiary qualification
  • Proven experience as a Security Manager
  • Security Risk and Asset Management
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience as Security Manager
  • Develop and implement Security Plans, Policies and Procedures
  • Undertake Security Risks Assessments (SRAs) and develop strategies to effectively manage risk
  • Implement communications systems to respond to active threats
  • Build and maintain security networks across all Provinces in which client operate
  • Manage work health and safety in the security work environment
  • Facilitate security operations briefings and debriefing processes
  • Manage contracting arrangements for security businesses
  • Supervise security operations
  • Undertake case management of investigations
  • Advise on advanced technology security systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Lead and promote innovation in a team environment
  • Implement continuous improvement
