Airswift is looking for a Welding Supervisor  to work on an outsourced contract with one of our clients, a major Oil & Gas Company in Angra dos Reis.

Ensure all the welding activities for Structural & piping disciplines related to Topside construction are planned, performed, and documented in accordance with the project contracts specifications and requirements.
Be visible and engaged within HSE and act as a Safety Ambassador.
 Follow-up that all welding work is performed with emphasized on HSE, required quality and in accordance with project requirements and specifications.
Make sure that the report is timely and accurate.
Cooperate with inspectors from other disciplines in site team.
Follow-up with Contractor that sub-contractor personnel are qualified in accordance with project requirements.
Follow-up that Contractor construction and quality control departments implement activities as per the required procedures, specification, standards throughout all the phase of construction.
Follow-up work progress against plans and schedules and highlight areas of concern and possible corrective actions.
 Seek advice and clarification from relevant Lead for ensuring decisions are taken in time and with necessary understanding.
Ensure that inspections are reported as needed and follow-up Contractor’s quality findings and NCRs. Ensure that agreed reporting systems are used to document inspections and findings.

The candidate must have solid experience in monitoring the manufacture and construction of topsides related to
welding activities.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of English for reading, writing and speaking.
Experience in topsides construction or a similar type of project.  Knowledge of the required international standards and codes.
Welding inspector certificate or similar (FBTS SNQC level I qualification required). Knowledge/skills of the tools required for welding and NDE.
