Airswift is seeking a Surface Land Analyst IV to work with a major oil and gas company in Calgary AB on a 12 months contract.
Key Accountabilities
• Works with the Surface Land Asset Teams in acquiring and maintaining governmental and private rights of ways, APD's, Sundry Notices, Permits and Leases and other Surface related agreements.
• Emphasis is on research, creating various reports, and analysis of data and review of obligations.
• Responds to internal groups for guidance and questions related to BLM, State or local agency right of way issues.
• Serves as a resource for Surface Land in the systems and applications utilized by the Department.
• Researches and analyzes existing easement, permits, leases and other property rights and authorizations.
• Conducts preliminary determinations of rights of way and permits and provides feedback and guidance to internal groups to aid in planning and implementing their projects.
• Evaluates projects to ensure that all tasks related to the right of ways at the local, state and federal level are integrated into the project planning and implementation.
• Prepares application package for rights-of-way to federal, state, and local regulatory agencies for wells, roads, pipelines, SWD’s, compressors, etc. And monitors status of the submittals.
• Participates in onsite field visits with BLM, State, third party pipeline companies and other stakeholders.
• Develops and maintains network relationships with other groups within company, i.e., Land, Implementation, Engineering, Regulatory and Legal.
• Creates and analyzes various reports from QLS Suite or parallel systems.
• Creates and analyzes various reports from Business Objects pertaining to rights of way, leases, etc.
• Gathers and analyzes data for quarterly contract obligation reports and lease obligations reports.
Required and Preferred Skills and Experience
• Senior level, typically 7+ years of experience.
• Understands advanced aspects of discipline and is viewed as an expert in a given field.
• Applies broad range of competencies to develop solutions to complex problems.
• Influences others to achieve objectives.
• Often provides specialized/technical/functional guidance to others within department and/or business asset.
