Airswift has been tasked by one of our major clients to seek a Project Engineer to join them on an initial 6-month assignment in Ingleside, TX.

Key member of the WWRP execution team who will provide a key supporting role to ensure successful planning and execution of small projects. The expertise provided by this individual will ensure the Topsides is made ready for Commissioning and sail away on time.

Responsibilities

The WWRP Topsides Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordination and execution of small projects, such as equipment overhauls, to ensure delivered safely in a timely manner to protect the overall Project schedule.

Small projects currently anticipated include, but are not limited to the following:

 
  • Emergency Generator bearing replacement and reactivation
  • Firewater pump module reactivation
  • Seawater and Firewater pump overhaul at respective OEM facilities
  • Replacement of wire ropes to lifting devices
  • Modification of ASV landing platform

In this role the PE will assist in the development of work scopes that are to feed into an integrated Project schedule, collaborating with discipline leads in Project Controls, Supply Chain, Construction and Commissioning to understand:
 
  • Material requirements
  • Required level of effort for resourcing
  • Activity durations
  • Budget
  • SIMOPS
  • 3rd party Vendor support requirements

Safety is the No. 1 priority of the WWRP and as such the PE shall:
 
  • Be a leader in safety and protecting the environment.
  • Act as a safety champion by promoting safety awareness and safe performance among colleagues, Project teams, and contractors at all times
  • Contributes to safety program, health and environment protection, reliability and efficiency in order to achieve world-class performance of Cenovus strategies. Actively participates in both behavioral based safety and site safety walk programs.
  • Ensure compliance with Project Specifications and applicable codes
  • Preparation and issuance of various work packs, schedules, minutes of meeting etc. as required to coordinate and record project execution activities

Requirements
  • Professional Engineer
  • 15 years’ experience in either a project or operational capacity in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Well-rounded Structural, Mechanical, I&C and Electrical knowledge.
  • Computer literate, familiar with MS Office suite of software.
  • Highly organized
