Day to day responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on utilities equipment.
- Perform all PMs/Repairs needed within the ammonia system, compressed air systems, cooling towers, condensers, HVAC and other related equipment
- Responsible for the efficiency of equipment and safe operations of the plant Ammonia Systems
- Maintain boiler/condenser water chemical systems
- Test boiler feed water and condensate and log results
- Responsible for housekeeping of work areas, maintenance shop and parts storage areas as assigned
- Key contributor to the installation of major plant process and utility equipment/projects
- High School diploma or GED
- Two-year Associates degree in mechanical or HVAC desired
- Previous working experience with Boiler and Ammonia Refrigeration systems
- Must be willing to learn and perform duties in all aspects of the Utility role (Ammonia Refrigeration and Boiler Room, and HVAC), which will require rotating amongst the roles to learn, along with maintaining knowledge and expertise in each area
- Ammonia Operator I or equivalent certification
- Boiler Operator I certification
- Basic Electrical knowledge to include NFPA 70e requirements
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
