Airswift is looking for a Civil Design Technician to work for a major client in Seneca, SC for a 1-year assignment likely to be extended.

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts and procedures.
  • 1-5 years discipline experience
  • Knowledge of Civil Design & Drafting Symbols (Seismic, Concrete, Welding, Isometrics, etc.)
  • Able to read and understand plant drawings (Electrical, Mechanical and Civil)
  • Good communication skills.
  • Office application familiarity (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Knowledge of plant layout and general understanding of plant configuration.
  • Previous MicroStation experience preferred.
Job responsibilities:
  • Workers at this entry level solve problems in engineering areas of specialization with close oversight.
  • Workers are expected to have the ability to work with greater independence.
  • Create and Update Civil Design Dwgs using MicroStation.
  • Assist in the design and development of Civil EC’s
  • Provide Mod support during Online and Outage
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on scheduled activities.
  • As-Built drawings after implementation
  • This is an intermediate level requiring fully satisfactory performance of Assistant Design Technician tasks. Work is performed under general supervision.
  • Worker at this level may specialize in a particular engineering discipline and perform non-routine assignments of moderate. complexity from sketches and/or instructions provided.
  • May perform routine engineering calculations for less complex work requests.
  • Begins to assist in resolving problems from field personnel and becomes more involved with site surveillance.
  • Assignments are more complex, involving interface and coordination with peers and design technicians in other disciplines or workgroups.
  • May check the work of peers and Asst. Design Technicians
