The Power and New Energy electrical team develop projects from feasibility studies and conceptual design to FEED with all the latest technologies potentially subjected to play an important role in the Energy Transition. This includes, but not limited to, photovoltaic, onshore wind, offshore wind, battery energy storage systems, green hydrogen, green ammonia, etc. Our client is a strong player developing new ways of energy generation assets, such as GW scale off-grid systems that hybridize all the aforementioned technologies.
You will have an educational background in electrical engineering with a specialization in electricity generation, transmission, and grid connections. In addition, experience in the above mentioned renewable energy technologies and, particularly, in battery energy storage systems shall be highly valuated.
The role provides opportunities to work together with experienced colleagues to deliver tailored bespoke services to suit a diverse set of clients, working to deliver services, participating in business development and be a key member of the practice.
Responsibilities:
- Execution of the following technical activities for renewable power and new energy systems:
- Conceptual design for renewable power generation and transmission systems (both AC and DC and both grid-connected and off-grid applications)
- Conceptual design of electrical systems for green products with battery energy storage systems (BESS) as a key component for the energy transition.
- Grid stability studies
- Definition of Basis of Design and Technical Specification.
- High-level Definition and specification of equipment/system components
- Delivery of consultancy services, such as Feasibility and Conceptual Studies, Financial Models,
- Knowledge of electrical equipment, standards and specifications
- Support marketing and business development activities for consulting services.
- Develop a ‘Subject Matter Expert’ for the above fields of expertise across our client's organization
- Support the growth of the business
- Educational background in electrical engineering (MSC or Bachelor).
- Power Factory DigSilent experience is a MUST
- Research/graduation subjects in.
- Configuration, concept, and feasibility studies for renewable power generation and transmission systems (both AC and DC and both grid-connected and off-grid applications).
- Conceptual design of electrical systems for green hydrogen and battery energy storage systems.
- Grid stability.

Our client is seeking a Project Analyst (New Nuclear) to work in Richland for a one year assignment, initially.
Responsible for coordination, tracking, and execution project estimates. Provide challenges, technical direction and assistance to project managers using the tools and processes for developing project scope, detailed project schedules, cost estimates, and perform detailed analysis and control activities. Monitor and report all project schedule/scope/cost changes to project managers and New Nuclear management in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed project implementation schedules using P6.
- Integrate project cost estimates and schedule to produce a logic tied, resource loaded cost flow projection.
- Analyze schedule deviations to identify and report on activities with potential impact on cost/schedule.
- Work with Project Managers to develop an accurate Estimate to Completion (ETC) to ensure predictable project performance and cost forecasts.
- Track changes to projected and actual project budgets and record needed and/or potential budget impacts in the appropriate software along with communicating budget impacts to the Nuclear Development team and Corporate Finance.
- Process journal entries into the financial system to accrue for completed but not invoiced work, and to transfer any identified mischarges to the correct project / work order.
- Ensure adequate configuration control of the data during the project approval process and project execution.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6
- Knowledge of project reporting and cost analysis of project information
- Experience supporting large, complex projects with billion-dollar budgets.
- Microsoft Power BI, Asset Suite, Workday Adaptive Planning, and Workday
- Experience in the Utility Industry and a general understanding of nuclear plant operations (SMR experience preferred)

Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and analysing the electrical systems, preparing technical evaluations, developing maintenance strategies and corrective action plans, and contributing to the creation of design change documentation.
- The role involves addressing a wide range of Electrical Power and I&C issues at both the component and system levels.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with nuclear power plant design, specifically the Electrical Distribution System and/or the Instrumentation and Control Systems.
- Technical project management responsibilities may include scoping, scheduling, budget development, cost tracking, and oversight of complex projects to meet cost and time objectives.
Systems Engineer II: 2-3+ years of relevant experience and demonstrated competencies in the applicable discipline.
Systems Engineer III: 5+ years of relevant experience and demonstrated competencies in the applicable discipline.
- Knowledge of engineering principles, theories, and practices.
- Ability to design systems, components, or processes to meet specified needs for broadly-defined engineering problems.
- Effective oral, written, and graphical communication skills, including technical writing.
- Conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments, and analyse and interpret the results to improve processes.
- Organizational and project management skills.
- Proficient personal computer skills, including knowledge of applicable software programs.
- 4-year Engineering Technology degree or 4-year degree in Engineering (not ABET-accredited).
- 4-year degree in Physics, Math, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Engineering, or another technical-related discipline.
- 4-year non-technical degree and post-graduate degree in Engineering Technology or Engineering (not ABET-accredited).
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience accepted in lieu of the preferred degree.
