We are currently recruiting for a Civil/Infrastructure Engineer to join our Stockton office to work on a state of the art mining project. This is a PAYE contract role for a 12 month period, with rate to be discussed.

Key Responsibilities and background:
 

  • The Civil, Structural and Architectural department requires an experienced Civil / Senior Civil Engineer to work on the infrastructure of a process plant currently under design. The role will involve the design of plant roads and drainage including developing ground models, layouts, designs and specifications to construction status.
  • Plan and prioritise own work and that of more junior staff so that parallel activities are all completed in a timely manner.
  •  Ensure that work complies with all necessary corporate, departmental and legislative requirements and procedures, to guarantee that the necessary consistency and quality of delivery is maintained.
  •  Carry out engineering calculations and check the work of more junior staff to deliver a quality functional input to projects.
  • Proactively generate value adding options within projects to offer to clients to improve both the chance of winning work and satisfaction with completed and ongoing work
  •  Provide functional support and guidance to more junior staff to develop both them as individuals and the capability of the team as a whole.
  • Keep abreast of current technology so that technical input to projects takes account of new developments.



Critical Skills & Personal Attributes:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or  direct experience in infrastructure design.
  • The candidate must by familiar with the requirements of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Sewers for Adoption.
  • A good working knowledge of Microdrainage, Causeway PDS and AutoCAD
