ESG Sustainability Management Consultant

Our client is a highly-specialised consultancy firm focused on the energy market and in driving sustainable solutions within the ESG field. It delivers senior-level solutions to companies looking to transition to a greener net-zero future and is rapidly building up its presence in Southeast Asia.

As part of the company’s growth plans, our client is currently looking for a new ESG Sustainability Management Consultant who will help expand and improve their service offering in the region.

Working alongside with the global sustainability practice team and being one of the core representatives in the Asia Pacific region, you will act as the lead on ESG/sustainability subject matters for the APAC region. Your goal will be to guide our clients in achieving their sustainability and ESG strategy goals - EG decarbonization and climate change by implementing the necessary EG transformation and change management.

We are looking for:

Someone with either experience or heavily invested/interested in the ESG scene with strong knowledge in particular hot-topic subjects (EG decarbonization, biodiversity, climate change).
Prior consulting firm training is a definite plus but not essential. Similar training can be gained from MBA or other educational courses.
The client is open to technical candidates looking to make the change into consulting. Technical candidates should be engineers with a background in the upstream energy industry (Industrial, manufacturing, chemical, energies).
Travel will be a requirement throughout Southeast Asia.

This is a great opportunity for either a technical person looking to enter the consulting field, or for an existing consultant to switch to the ESG space. The company also offers a flexible and international work environment.

Airswift has been tasked by one of our key clients to seek a Contract Advisor to join them in London, UK on a 1-year renewable contract.
Main accountabilities and responsibilities:
• Review and qualify or draft different types of contracts, including but not limited to: engineering, procurement, Construction, (EPC) transportation and installation, service contracts, as well as associated confidentiality agreements, non-disclosure and restrictive use agreements; partnership/consortium/joint venture/alliance agreements, subcontract agreements;
• Manage the workload in coordination with Tendering/Commercial, Project Management and Procurement functions, collecting the inputs from the other functions, including Insurance, Tax and Finance;
• Prepare Contract Summaries on tender/project specific basis;
• Advise Company and Corporate Management on the main contractual risks, identifying and proposing contractual mitigation actions;
• Participate in meetings (with internal clients, external clients, partners and subcontractors), negotiating, taking notes and preparing summaries and/or Minutes of Meeting;
• Negotiate the contractual instruments with the counterparties in the best interests of the Company and in accordance with Company risk policies;
• Support the Project Management teams in the determination of claims and contract management strategies , in the preparation and evaluation of variation order requests, and in the drafting of key project correspondence towards clients, major subcontractors and/or other interfacing third parties ;
• Support the Procurement function in the review of subcontracts and purchase orders;
• Draft all related legal instruments and correspondence;
• Have knowledge of the industry standard contracts (FIDIC, LOGIC, BIMCO, IOCs’ etc.);
• Assist in the resolution of legal and contractual matters, in coordination with the relevant Corporate functions.
• Regularly report to the Company and Corporate Management on the Contract Management activities.
Requirements:
• Knowledge and experience of English Law;
• Proven experience of reviewing and advising on tendering contracts and of administrating project contracts and effective negotiation skills are essential;
• Proven experience negotiating and executing offshore construction contracts
• Strong commercial awareness;
• International mobility both for short missions and potentially for long-term assignments.
