Airswift is supporting a global operator company, working on a brownfield FPSO project in Angola, for a 12 month contract position, working on a 4x4 rotation.

We are seeking an experienced professional who will manage and coordinate the instrumentation and electrical discipline activities during the offshore integration phase.



Key Responsibilities and background

  • To promote safety culture within the project and his activities. Lead by exemplarity to have the team members and colleagues adhering and contributing.
  • To ensure that safe and ethic working practices are carried out within the activities that he/she is managing or interfacing with. To
  • guarantee the compliance on his activities.
  • To ensure that state of the art, TEPA referential and local rules/laws are complied with and captured in all contractual requirements.
  • To work by anticipation.
  • To establish and manage his/her activities motivating his/her counterparts and to work diligently to meet the targets of the Projects.
  • To promote innovation as far as compatible with good enough approach for all activities. To seek optimization and savings all along the
  • different phases of the project. To focus on costs without impairing QHSE objectives.
  • To keep divisional Manager and all parties (as required) informed regarding ongoing activities status. To advise the Project Managers on
  • architecture related actions/decisions.
  • To manage and coordinate the Instrument and Electrical discipline activity performed by the EPC contractor during the construction
  • phase of CFM Module to ensure a safe and optimized design in line with contract specifications, cost and project schedule.
  • To take an active part in the review of the INS and ELEC discipline documents by providing relevant comments in due time, pro-actively
  • contribute in the resolution of the potential issues/questions, and continuously ensure a proper coordination with the ICSS Lead and associated activities.
  • To manage interfaces related to the electrical and instrument discipline with CONTRACTORS and HQ.
  • To highlight any deviation to contract specifications and Company specifications and as well look for optimization and good enough design.
  • To technically review acceptance of EPC contractor technical queries and derogations for the INS discipline and liaise with HQ for derogation approval.
  • Ensure that the INS and ELE activities are performed as per planning and highlight any deviation to the CPY Construction & Installation Leader.
  • Ensure all equipment are on Site as per project need and offshore hook up planning
  • To manage the INS activities during all the construction, including integration, pre-commissioning, and commissioning works, to ensure that activities are carried out safely in line with contract, cost and schedule.
  • Ensure proper communication of ongoing INS activities with PBF entity and FOPS.
  • To assist GCF Hook Up Coordinator and GCF Construction & Installation Leader on specific transverse topics.
  • Manage and coordinate the instrumentation and electrical discipline activities during the offshore integration phase
  • Be the focal point for the interfaces for the instrumentation and electrical discipline in particular with commissioning and as well the ICSS sub-contractor.
  • Be in charge of the pre-commissioning activities for the instrument and electrical discipline and ensure a proper hand over to the commissioning team.
  • Integrate HSE in all aspects of the work.
  • Maintain a pro-active and positive team spirit within the PBF team and with the EPCi Contractor and its sub-contractors The position is foreseen for the entire duration of the onshore construction phase. This position will be in resident basis.



Critical Skills & Personal Attributes:
  • Field instrumentation engineer with solid instrument technical background and offshore
  • Experience on Angolan Block 17 FPSOs
  • Experience in brown field project and familiar with field operation requirements.
  • Good communication skills, organizational skills and positive attitude.
  • Good English level
